Hero as Lover

I love my family with all my heart. I can't stand to see anyone mess with anyone of them. In my life, my biggest priority is to always be there for them. If I had a chance to get a ton of money but my parents or my sisters needed me, I wouldn't even think twice about not being there for them. It kills me to let them down so I never try to disappoint them, ever. I am a "Hero as Lover" because I always want to be there for others. It's just the way I am.

If I had to explain myself in just three words, it would be shy, not confident, and goofy. I always try to make others laugh but my shyness covers that part of me for very many people. I don't like taking chances and i always try to find a way around a situation. I am dorky and proud of it and most people don't understand my humor at times. I'm independent meaning I like to do things on my own and I always try to be the nicest person I can be. Friends come and go but I only hold on to certain ones because like my family, they keep me going in this harsh world. They remind me about things I tend to forget. They prove to me that I am a good person and I thank them all dearly for that.

I am not athletic and daring but more like a sentimental type person but that doesn't mean i can act childish at times. I am a very goofy person! Music plays a role in much of my life. Music helps me get through most of my troublesome situations. That is why I am a pianist and a violist. When I play my music, a rush of energy rushes trough me and I feel like I am at the right place. I hope to be a part-time musician in the least when I grow up. I wish to be a doctor when I grow up. Perhaps, a pediatrician. I wish to be a doctor simply because I like to help others. Helping others makes me think more of myself and helping gives me a feeling of warmth because I know I have done something good. Being a doctor would help me fulfill my number one life goal, to always try to help others. In saying this, both my friends and I feel like I am a "Hero as a Lover".

My Journey in Search of Knowledge and Finding the Promise Land

In my opinion, school gives you facts. Although you do need facts, I tend to look for knowledge of the real world other than "facts". I believe that my knowledge will help me make the right choices in life and eventually lead me to heaven. I always try to find a deeper meaning to everything. I believe God has hidden secrets in your life and it is up to us to follow our heart to find them. I would much rather be known as a wise person than a "smart" person. When I hear of a war or any other tragedy, I see it as a sign from God to not repeat mistakes, however we do not learn from them because we are in a circle of disaster. My "job" is to find these mistakes and prevent myself and my loved ones from repeating them. This is my quest, to follow my heart so i may reach my promise land.

The People that Will Always Hold My Hand

My mother and father will always be there to hold my hand. When I was a small child, they would hold my hand so I wouldn't loose my path. I will never be too old for them to still hold my hand through my problems. I always come to them when I need help with anything. They show me ways on how to live life right and they help me not make mistakes. They help me fulfill my quest in search for knowledge. They inspire me to always do my best and to always treat myself and others with respect. When I am with them I know God is real because it is unbelievable how perfect my parents are for me. They are exactly what I need and they are a need that will never leave me.

I don't think much of myself but I do think I am a good person. My parents raised me to be this good person. I remember as a young child hearing them tell me that life will not always be easy. In the 4th grade, I had a lot of problems with my friends. I felt like the worst person although it wasn't my fault. They reminded me that friends will come and go and I just have to follow my heart. Their advice helped me undergo through future obstacles and now I am a stronger person. I wouldn't want to be any different than them when I grow up.

My Threshold Guardian

My slightly younger cousin "Pacho" is my Threshold Guardian. I grew up with him and he is almost like a brother to me. We have grown apart through the years because I disapprove of his actions but I still love him dearly. My cousin first lived with his mother since his parents are divorced. My cousin likes "freedom" and doing whatever he wants but my aunt was being a parent and preventing him from being disrespectful and ignorant. Since his father is the type to let his children live their own life, "Pacho" decided to move in with his father. Lately he hasn't been the nicest to my aunt. She has cancer and he puts more stress on her than she needs. I hope I am never as mean as he can be at times so I try to learn from his mistakes. His mistakes push me to always respect my parents because they truly know whats right. I hope he will realize how ignorant he can be. Through his mistakes, I still do admire him. His parent's divorce has greatly affected him and he still tries his hardest to keep his head up. He also inspires me to not let things get the best of me.

Looking for Confidence

One thing I lack is self-confidence. I am shy because of it. It holds my true colors in. My family and close friends all know that I am very outgoing and goofy but when I am in public, I change. I always feel that people think less of me. I don't think I am pretty or interesting. I'm afraid that I will make a fool out of myself so I choose to hold my personality in. I don't like to beat people to things because I am afraid that they will become upset with me. In fact, I tend to let people control my life. People can be very mean to me and I won't say a word. People come to me for help because they know that I am a "sucker" at saying no. If I had more confidence, I would be a better person and more people will see how good of a person I am.

Illiana la Cubana and Anyssa Montana

Anyssa is my six-year old sister. She is always there to make laugh and she is one of the only people to lighten up my day. Her childish humor makes me laugh and I love it when she tries to act like an adult. She tells me that she will grow up to be a princess and she will sing just like Hannah Montana. She likes to wear my clothes and she tells me she hates me when I make her mad and that she loves me only when I am nice to her. I love my sassy little princess!

Illiana is my three-year old sister. She is the funniest of the funniest! She enjoys embarrasing my family in public. One time she pulled up her shorts above her belly and was running around in circles singing "The Climb" by Miley Cyrus in the middle of the mall. Everybody was watching. She likes to beat me and Anyssa up and she makes me watch Ni-Hao Kai-Lan, Wow Wow Wubbzy, and Wonderpets with her. I know all the songs!

The Wierd-o's I Call My Friends

I met Brittany Negerete in the 4th grade. I remember her being shy and quiet but very funny. We were never really "best" friends until we started talking more in the eighth grade. In just a few days I called her my best friend. She has never let me down and she is one of the few people that truely understand me. She has never left my side whether I was right or wrong. I trust her with everything I can't imagine my life without her! I can not emphasize how important she is to me. She is like my sister and she will always hold a place in my heart!

Stephanie is one of my younger cousins. She can be very annoying at times but I treat her as if she were my sister. She has been through alot in her life so I try to be there for her whenever I can. Sometimes I feel that she doesn't know how much I love her. She always makes me laugh and she is very honest with me. I don't have much friends that are as honest as her. I love her very much and always will.

Sandra is a girl I just met this year. We have only known eachother for a school semester and yet we are very close. I became friends with her the first day I met her. It is possibly the fastest friendship I have ever had. I enjoy talking to her and I can tell her almost everything! I remember on the first day of P.E. class while I was walking out to go outside she was the first to say hello. She called me that day after school! She is older than me but I hope that we still stay in touch throughout the years.

I have known Karla Loredo since seventh grade but we were never as close as we are this year. She always makes me laugh and she reminds me that I am a good person when I am feeling down. She is one of my only friends that I can act a complete fool with. I enjoy listening to her thoughts and I hope she can always trust me with them.
